2003-2004 Florida & New York State Student Leadership Teams
Application Deadline: August 31, 2003
The Florida and New York State Student Leadership Teams are statewide networks of 10-14 students helping lead the way towards passage of a state non-discrimination policy in education, inclusive of sexual orientation and gender identity.
Students on these teams have an amazing opportunity to network with others across the country, learn campaign organizing & lobbying skills and teach others what they've learned, as well as help decide how work across the state will be done.
GLSEN's Student Organizing Department is now accepting applications for student organizers for the 2003-2004 Florida (FL) and New York (NY) State Student Leadership Teams. The FL and NY leadership teams have been designed to support student networking, student leadership development and overall passage of statewide legislation protecting students from discrimination and harassment in K-12 schools through outreach and training by and for students.
